It's my fault.

Hey yall.

You are probably thinking that I gave up on yall, aren't ya.... well I haven't. Hooray.

I'm just going to throw it out there and tell you, I'm a bad blogger. I would say I've been busy and give you some excuses, but I'm quite sure everyones been really busy lately, and a lot of people are still posting. So this one goes on my permanent record yall.

I will admit I've been way overwhelmed here lately. Most of the time I feel like I'm not actually interacting with people who live on my planet. Not to mention occasionally I simply shut down. When I say shut down, I mean hiding in a corner rocking.... cookoos nest.

Hopefully I will be recovering pretty soon and back to normal... or at least what we usually perceive as normal.... right?!

How Pinteresting... THURSDAY??!

I missed my most favorite day of the week yesterday!! I'm not saying I haven't been a pinning fool, but I didn't get to share it with yall. 

So I'm doing today. Yes, that was a declaration. I think I have found some really neat things lately. 

Raspberry and Key Lime Margarita?! Yes, please.

I love this option for wedding pictures, family pictures, any pictures really. 

I have a really nice, large, master bathroom... that has ZERO space.... or maybe I've used all (and I mean every least inch) of space I had... so I'm trying to find aesthetically pleasing alternatives for "space".

 Obviously from my bathroom space search... but how cute?!

 I don't think I'm cool enough to pull this look off, but I can keep wishing. 

 I am going to put one of these in the office. How stinkin' cute. No more nasty, rusty, ol cabinet!!

 I am going to find somewhere to put these up at home. Perfect for holding my ever growing collection of knick knacks, that are starting to become what some may consider "clutter" around the house! :)

Aren't you glad that I decided to share even though it's not technically Wednesday?! I'm not about to let a little thing like Wednesday stop me.

Delivering on a Promise.

I managed to take pictures on three different cameras. Therefore, my pictures are all out of order. So here goes the promise Vegas pics!!

 I had to edit this picture. Without a nice little effect on this picture, I'm scary pale. 

I am rethinking giving the Versa tan a try. I need it.

This would be upon our arrival at the Hard Rock Hotel, we stopped for some lunch at Mr. Lucky's

 Then we decided to walk the strip, we stopped into the MGM to check out the lion cubs!

 Then it was on to New York New York. Mags and I in front of the Statue of Liberty... what?!

 Then a nice stranger offered to take a picture for us. I was a little hesitant that I would hand it to him and he would run. Once I handed it to me he said... as a joke... and now I'm going to take off with your camera. I panicked for a millisecond, guilty.

This would my MY dessert plate at the Wynn buffet. I think I only ate dessert!

Maggie and Lee shared a Big Kahuna... which smoked cause it had dry ice in it. It was pretty cool, but I'm pretty sure if you touch dry ice it gives you instant frost bite or something... and it came without a warning. We are soo dangerous! 

I figured I'd say goodbye with this picture. We decided to black out one of UH's teeth at the Pink Taco, a restaurant in The Hard Rock... ya know, like the Hangover guy. We actually asked the restaurant for the permanent marker to do so... they were kind enough to give it to us!

P.S. - Permanent marker does come off your teeth... thank heavens!

Wanted: Dead or Alive

Good news... I'm alive!

I should also probably mention that we made it back from Vegas in once piece, mostly. I'm pretty sure we walked at least 30 miles though, so our feet were so sore to say the least.

I would defiantly call it a success though. I will have to upload some pictures for y'all. Of course I didn't take as many as I would have liked to, but at least I have some share with you.

This weekend was a pretty quite one, we had some sleep to catch up on after all. I think I fell asleep at 8 pm on Saturday! I'm such an old lady, eh!?

The Power of Love

Don't worry, this isn't going to be a mushy post about actual love. Rather, I thought I'd tell you what happened this past weekend!!! 

This girl went to see Huey Lewis and the News at Billy Bob's with UH and our best friends. 

If you don't know who Huey Lewis is, I'll forgive you. Chances are you know his music, even if you can't place the band. It may also help to mention that he hit his prime in the music industry in the 80's.... 

 We got some great pictures though and even a video or two!! 

The new friend me made that we asked to take our picture, decided to get a little creative. Hence, the lean.

Billy Bob's is a huge honky tonk bar in Fort Worth. So big they have several "stages", pool tables, rooms, gift shops, food. It's almost like an amusement park. 

I will confess I totally asked if they had a mechanical bull... cause I wanted to give it a try. Turns out they only have real ones to ride... uhh PASS!

 

Bad Friend

I've been a bad friend. I'm sorry.

I feel like I have claimed a million times before that it's been crazy hectic, but it really has been. 

I work for a company that just launched the new iPhone 4s and things have not made sense since! 

Blame that!!! k?!

Things don't seem to be settling down now either. So it seems I have a lot to share with you.

And boy am I excited. We are actually hopping on a plane today!!! I will be back in a week, but in the mean time I figured I'd try filling yall in on the DL!!

Me, crafty?!

Alright so low and behold I got a little crafty last night and I thought I would share my efforts with y'all.

You've ll seen the awesome Pinterest pins of door wreaths lately, right?

Being the skeptic I am I figured it wasn't actually possible or plausible to make "cute" felt flowers.... I my have been wrong though.

I promise I thought about busting out my dslr to document this for you, but I didn't... So your stuck with lame phone pictures. I'm a work in progress.

I will say I only spent something like 10 dollars in this project, so I'm happy with it. I am not happy with the blisters on my fingers from burning myself with the hot glue gun though!

No Pinteresting?!

You're probably thinking, no How Pinteresting?! What is the world coming to?! I'm thinking the same thing myself. 

The thing is, I've been pinning on my iPad a lot... and I haven't mastered the art of sharing those pins with you from my iPad.... and I haven't seen my laptop in days it seems. Poor thing must feel neglected. 

I think I may do the iOS5 update to it today too.... I'm just hoping I don't ruin it. 

In the meantime I thought I'd share with you a self portrait I took. I just received my tripod and remote clicker(?) thing and was participating in one of those.... 30 photos in 30 days deals, and this is my result. 

Notice the arched eye brow... that's my trying to warn the clicker that it needed to start working... also see hand on hip.

Yep, I'm still here

I was doing so well for a while... and then... I let it go. I think you can apply that statement to a lot in life actually... hmm. 

I think I can accurately claim that my life has been hectic. Newlywed, puppy, work, cleaning. I added cleaning, because I think it should be listed separate from newlywed. Housework sucks. 

Pre-wedding we had a maid once a week. I know... I'm a brat. When we became engaged we decided to save the money and put it towards the wedding. Almost two years later, we haven't gone back... yet. I really feel like I should do a better job keeping up with housework... it's just hard. 

I remember my mom saying that, and I can guarantee you I rolled my eyes. I would go back and slap myself for that one, now. 

Not to create excuses for myself or anything, but I work 48 hours a week and go to the gym for... round trip... about 2 hours. That leaves 8:30 PM tooooo.... 12? to clean. Who wants to clean after that kinda long day.

Any who, I've gotten much better. It's not so bad if you just try and maintain daily. 


I may never master the art of cleaning.

Oh mah goodness, I feel like I haven't talked to yall in... forever. 

I know I pinned yesterday, but still...

It has been craAAAzy at work lately. It has really picked up lately and I find myself feeling like I ran around like a chicken with no head all day. Do you ever feel that way? Like you were really busy all day but when you try and list the things you accomplished... you draw a blank. 

Also, Gmail seems to be temporarily... out. What?! That actually happens??? I miss my email already! :) 

Lately I've been contemplating picking up the iPhone 4Gs. I'm not sold though. I don't want to just hop on the bandwagon because everyone else has. The one big motivational factor to do it????

Wimpy Wednesday?

Ok, just kidding, I'm still participating in Oh, how pinteresting Wednesday. 


I am so out of it today though. I feel sick. It kinda sucks. So I'm really sleepy and slightly cranky, but I will try and keep that to myself today. That has been my goal just about all day. So, moving on.

I've kinda got the gimmies for this David Yurman ring. You best believe I will be saving up my budget for it. :)

I decided to share this one, because it looks a lot like my ring...and I love my ring. 

I really need new work shoes, but $200 on flats seems pretty steep?! Can anyone vouch for whether they are worth it or not??

I can't remember if I have pinned this or not. I think it would be a great for fall. UH loves my hair blonde, but he saw this and made the comment that it wasn't really that dark. Maybe I can convince him he likes it? haha

It's technically still Friday yall!

It's technically still Friday, so while this may be a later than normal post it does mean I didn't skip out on y'all today!

I've been toying with the idea of getting an iPad for a while now, but I always talk myself out of it at some point. I'm very fortunate to have the things I have and I guess I just feeling guilty sometimes for wanting something when I have so much.

I've been weighing the pros and cons with UH and really digging to make sure that it was something I really wanted and would really use. I absolutely don't want something that I'm not going to actually use... no matter how much it costs.

So UH told me to give it s few more days to think about and if I still wanted it then we could talk about it fo realz. I don't make quick decisions about these kinds of things, so I said yeah sure.... Sounds good.

Well... I best UH home from work today and he comes and gets me and tells me he has a surprise for me. I got a little hopeful when he says, don't get excited it's not an iPad. If you know UH then you know that when he says phrases like that, you listen.... Cause last time he said that he got me a box of nails.... Seriously. Then he turns around to grab it and says.. It's an iPad TWO! Sneaky little boy, he got me sn iPad 2!

I'm pretty sure this is the coolest present that UH has gotten me for no reason in our vast 6 year history. UH doesn't get me big presents for no real reason, and he doesn't have it, certainly not to prove anything, I know he loves me to death no matter what.

A keeper, with or without presents, that man is.

Flirting with Temptation

Is it only Thursday? It feels like it should be Friday, which always stinks when you realize it's just plain ol Thursday.

This week my temptations are DIY projects. Some of these I may have posted already or recently, but sometimes I just think I'm Martha Stewart. I really hope I attempt at least one of these this weekend though! :) 

Would be so neat above the table! 

I'm convinced this project would be pretty easy and that I may have most of the materials... I could be wrong though.

All you need is a canvas, painters tape, and paint. Easy enough right?

I really love this idea too, now all I have to do is locate all our old keys... 

I'm tired of purchasing cheesy wreaths, I want to make my own. Our front door could use some new paint too while I'm at it.

Believe it or not, I've been saving this jars at home to do this project. I want to use them as or glasses at home. They are just Starbucks coffee jars. You know, the ones you buy at the gas station.

Every time I get a free second, you can pretty much find me pinning. Mostly. Usually. Here are my favorite pins this week! 


Not to mention, I love seeing what other people are pinning. It's a glimpse into a persons life ya know?! What projects are they up too, what is their fashion styles, what are they cooking tonight?! I'm so nosy. 

I can assure you that I don't need this, but it makes it on my want list fo sho.

I think you would probably need a tarp set up over you for this to work, but I looove. 

I love this dress, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Boo. 

I don't know when it became an aspiration to go to Thailand, but it has. It looks gorgeous and exotic, right up my alley. 

I like this look, it's clean and crisp, and it works with the colors of our bed and bedroom already.

Awesome DIY project, I'm pretty sure UH has wood in the garage already, so maybe I can do it for free this weekend! 

Another weekend DIY maybe? I have a Costco credit for 100 pics, so this may be able to be done on the cheap too! Holla

I'm pretty sure I've previously mentioned moving to New England. Need another reason why?? S

I plan on having this picnic table in my backyard when I do too. What a killer idea!
