Beauty Haul!

Two posts in one day?! Aren't we lucky today?!

I couldn't not share this deal with you guys, so I had to drop in again today.

Nars has a 20% off coupon right now and I'm not sure when it expires...
hence, why I have to share with yall, NOW. :)

This is what I picked up:

Sheer Lipstick in shade: Barbarella.
I love this color... remember?!

Semi-Matte Lipstick in shade: Schiap
This color has been circling the blogosphere for quite some time, I'm giving it a go!

Sheer Lipstick in shade: Dolce Vita
This looks like a perfect color for... anytime.

Illuminator in shade : Super Orgasm
I love love love this illuminator. I currently use "Orgasm" and think the "Super Orgasm" will be great for no make-up kinda days... for some "natural color".

That of course is me, and I happen to be wearing the Nars illuminator in Orgasm.
The lipstick is M.A.C Sheen Supreme in Ultra Darling.

I probably took 15 - 20 pictures and most turned out like that and...

Ahhh! ... like that. Just keeping it real.

And because you still need to code!!

THE DEAL: Take 20% off on your entire order | code: SIERRA
THE DEAL: And all orders of $50+ get free shipping, no code necessary.
THE DEAL: Or if you want it faster for Valentine’s Day, receive free 2-day shipping on all orders placed before 11am on 2/10/2012 (cannot be combined with the ’20% off’ offer) | code: SendMeLove

Orange yall excited?!

Have yall seen the new Essie Spring 2012 line-up yet?!

I'm positive everyone will be ooing and aahing over it soon... so excited!!

Shall we take a look?!

I adore the combination of bright neon colors and some soft pastels.

They have thought of a color for every mood I believe.

Navigate Her
I like this color, but I have last years sea foam green, which means I probably shouldn't buy this one.

A Crewed Interest
Once again, I love this color. I feel like I have too many perfect pinks already though.

To Buy Or Not To Buy
This one I may have to pick up, seeing as I don't own a lovely shade of lavender yet. Have you seen the sparkles in the beauty?!

Tour De Finance
I love pink, but I'm not really a fuchsia kinda gal. I think this is my least favorite in the collection.

Ole Caliente
I love red. Red does not love me back though. It seems to make my fingers look stubbier. Am I insane or does anyone else have this problem??

Orange It Obvious
I thought this was my favorite color of the collection, because of this picture:

The explanation of this outfit refers to the nails polish as "Essie: Oranges"

When I google searches Essie Oranges I was greeted with Orange It Obvious. However, I think I got misinformation somewhere along the line.

I thought things weren't right when I looked at the picture of the color alone... then I found this picture, and it proves that something really isn't adding up.

Say what?!

So I think I may skip on the Orange it Obvious. I don't think that color would look good on these already stubby fingers....

P.S. - That's me sucking it in ^^^ ...
attempting to make my fingers look skinny. Yup.

OH!!! How Pinteresting?!

I have made it in time for this weeks Oh, How Pinteresting link up!!! Woohoo!!

As usual my pins are all over the place, and I think it's apparent I am more than ready for Summer. I would say Spring, but I have bad Spring allergies... so I'll pass on that one.

Let's start with some positive inspiration this morning, shall we?

Healthy Mac N Cheese, using Quinoa.
Has anyone used Quinoa before? I've heard wonderful things about it.

In case you missed it, Coral and Turquoise are two of my number one favorites colors. Last year I bought those coral shorts at J.Crew and am dying to wear them now!!

Notice a trend here??? Coral shorts!!! Ooooh love the nail polish color tooo!!!

I want to do this for the house. So cute!!!

Sooo, UH and I are going to have photos taken in NH when we go back for our anniversary. I thought this would be an adorable back up plan (in case it's raining)!

Fried mozzarella, but healthier! Does this not look amazing?! I want this right...NOW!

We are 4 wheeling this weekend, and I thought these sugary goodness cookies would be perfect! Can you see the sugar?! I can!!!

I found this gem on Esty. We are going on a cruise this Summer, and this sucker would be PERRRFECT!!! I think it's only $14.00 too. Talk about affordable!!

Like I mentioned... allll over the place, and so ready for Summer.

Is Spring/Summer nipping at your heels already too?!

I do live in Texas, so we it could be right around the corner for me!!

75% off... dreaming!

I was being all diligent and working on a post for yall last night, and I couldn't get to Blogger. For the life of me, it wouldn't open. I couldn't even log in. I'm still not sure if it was just me, my computer, or everyone. Although I'm assuming that if everyone else had problems with it as well, I will be reading about it today, eh?!

Anywho....

I thought I would share the Kate Spade 75% off sale with yall, assuming you haven't heard about it yet.
Kate Spade Sale!!

It's amazing. No really, I think this sale is a good one. That may be coming from a somewhat biased opinion. I mean, I am a sucker for both Kate Spade and a 75% off sale.

I will confess I purchased a couple of things, and I think it's apparent Spring/Summer is all I'm thinking about. Not to mention Texas hasn't experienced a Winter this year, and that isn't to say we wont. We still may get a Winter... it's just going to be in April or something crazy.

Here is what I picked up...

Kate Spade Delancy Street Spade Camden in Gazpacho
Originally $345.00 on sale for $149.99!!
Color is sold out though ... sorry ladies!!

Sparkler Gia
Originally $95.00 on sale for $45.00
I was soooo excited about this one. I have swooning over this clutch for months...
It paid to wait!! Woot!

Styled!! So cute!!

Big Apple Travel Medium Heddy
Originally $50.00 Sale $25.00
I am excited about this for traveling! TSA approved! Woot

Mint Julep Cocktail Ring
Originally $78.00 Sale $25.00
I own the pink and red ring and LOVE them. So I picked up all the colors.

Martini Cocktail Ring
Originally $78.00 Sale $25.00

Like I said, I loved the pink and red cocktail rings, and at $25.00 decided it was so worth it to pick up these colors.

I hope there aren't anymore 75% sales until a couple months. I need to restock my spending money. I have depleted my budget!!! Oops!!

Here we go.

For starters:
Dear favorite bloggers,
Please stop gloating about the Giants winning (seeing as all of you seem to be Giants fans). I'm a Patriots fan, we lost... although it was a great game. I'm not that sad about it, but your posts are making me bitter. It's bad enough that I work with all males at work.
Secondly, I hate sarcasm.
Hate, such a strong word, but completely appropriate. Mind you, I wouldn't consider myself a fragile person, but I can NOT deal with sarcasm. It hurts me feelings. Period.
I know this makes me seem silly, but I can't help it. You can call me a ragging lunatic b*tch and I'm ok with that, but as soon as you pull out that sarcasm... I get teary eyed and I'm out.
That's the other thing I'm great at. Checking out if my feelings are hurt. No I'm not going to be mean back, or get into a screaming match with you, I'm just going to walk away. I think that response is a combination of A. acting like a grown up and B. not wanting to deal with it. So you can see how sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes it's a bad thing.
Don't get me wrong, if I were confrontational or witty enough I would totally engage in some great comebacks... I think. Part of my no drama motto just means walking away from it though... engaging would only cause more, and that doesn't make any sense.
Phew, glad we got that out the way.
In other, more positive, news... I thought I would share this awesomely awesome Tory Burch wallpaper, just in case you didn't get them in your inbox. Yum!!
So awesome, right?!
Get it here!
My Monday started a little shaky... but have no fear, I got it back on track. This is going to be a good week, followed by a good weekend. Let's do it!

Thursday, February 2, 2012

Woah, all of that in one sitting?!

Do you ever find yourself wishing that your favorite bloggers would most something like 3 posts a day!? I do. Now, I completely understand how unrealistic that is... I have a hard time with one post a day. I think I feel this way though, because I am so nosy. Even if I don't know you, I want to know what's going on in your life. What beauty products do you recommend?? Raves? Rants? What'd you buy this weekend?! I guess if those are the things I love so much, I should consider writing something like that huh?

I really wanted to participate on Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesday.... BUT I get so picky about what pins I want to share with yall, that I missed out. I mean, I'm not hiding pins from you or anything, I just don't want to post lame ones....? Weirdo, right?

I have a confession. I have not been as strict this week about my diet as I have been. The past 2-3 weeks I have been a Nazi about what goes in my mouth. I mean, we went 4 wheeling Saturday, and I made chicken breast sandwiches and brought fruit... there were no chips, anywhere. To top that off, our friends fried chicken poppers, fries, and corn balls, and I only had 2 fries. Dedication. This week, not so much. Not I wouldn't call it a complete train wreck, but I haven't been that strict. I would say I've gone over my max caloric intake by 100-200 calories a day probably. I'm not upset about it though, it happens... especially the week before that time of the month. Normally the week before that happens, I will eat everything in sight. I'm talking cookie monster kinda problems. While dieting and working out, I always try and remember one important phrase, "You can try again tomorrow". I think it's important to remember that you ate what you ate, don't beat yourself up about, try again tomorrow. It keeps me sane.

I'm on track today. This is what I ate...

Side note: There is only ONE noodle left. I obviously forgot to take a picture when it may have looked more appetizing. Oops!

Smart Ones Baked Ziti. I love Smart Ones. Best frozen meals ever, and only 300 calories!! I am trying Amy's tomorrow though. They are all organic and gluten free. I will have to let you know how I feel about those.

Also, I got this fortune in my fortune cookie yesterday.

For realz?!!? Have I told yall how badly I want to get out of TX and into NH?! Seriously unlikely that it happens this year though. Pshhh, I'll keep dreaming.

Call me Grumps, but not all is lost.

I am willing to go out on a limb today and let you all know, it hasn't been a great day.

I take that back, today didn't do anything to offend me, I have had the misfortune of bad news that makes for a grumpy Rachel.

Surprised I get grumpy?? You shouldn't be, it's not that rare. :)

Let me start by telling you I had an amazeballs weekend.

One of those weekends that is great because you do a whole lot of nothing.

Except Saturday.... Saturday, we went 4 wheeling!!!! It was a little chilly, but turned out to be a great trip! We were thinking about selling our 4 wheelers because, quite honestly, we haven't been using them very much. We decided if we didn't go this weekend, than we had no excuse to keep the monsters sitting in our garage...

Of course I forgot my camera, so I have no pictures of the actually 4 wheeling part. I do have a pre-four wheeling picture though... your welcome! :)

Notice the big Green Machine behind me? That's Hubs' bike.

Then Sunday we did lots of the following

That would be Chloe and me cuddled up on the couch watching movies with the husband. I also finally got around to painting my nails!! Notice my nails in above picture, OPI Lincoln Park After Dark, if you were wondering.

Want to see what is helping assist me in my grumpy mood today?

I just paid this sucker:

Yep, that's a red light ticket. A $75.00 red light ticket. A dolla make me holla honey boo boo, and this girl isn't happy about paying this ticket.

I don't actually remember doing running this light, and I'm sure I didn't do it on purpose. Everyone keeps telling me not to pay it, since it isn't an actual criminal offense. It hits your credit... unless you write them explaining your aren't paying it and why and blah blah blah.

I just forked over the money. I'm sure I did it, but I'm sure it was for a reason... ya know, like I couldn't safely STOP in TIME, SAFELY.

The other reason I am in a grumpy mood, I don't think I can really delve into yet. I also want to think it over for a few days, so that I know I'm not being overly emotional or anything like that. So I'm sure you will be hearing from me in a few days about said grump inducer. :)

Side note, is it petty for me to "unlike" a page on facebook? Haha Seriously thinking about it though, even if it may be considered petty.
