Alright, this may be a bit random, but I'm feeling a little flighty this morning. Is that a word??

1. Went to the gym for the first time in, well, too long. It felt amazing to be back, but it sure as day wasn't easy.

2. I made my first Lululemon workout gear purchase. So far I love it. Maybe I can do a product review later. I'm a firm believer that if you feel good about yourself walking into the gym you will work out harder. For me at least.

3. I own something like 30 bathing suits ( I have a problem), but really want to buy a J. Crew one for this Summer. They make some awesome non-halter straight back straps. Like this:

I like it for a few reasons. A. It has an underwire. B. the straps. I have broad shoulders and all halter tips do is make them look wider. 

This kind of strap however, makes them look narrower.

Bet ya didn't know huh?

4. I'm hungry. After eating junk for the last month, getting back into "healthy food" mode isn't easy. Just remember if you can do it for 27 days in a row (I think that's correct) it gets easier and becomes routine.

5. I'm rocking the side braid today. I'm not sure if I can pull it off and it kinda makes me feel like a grade schooler. 

6. I purchased my first piece of David Yurman jewelry, and I l.o.v.e it!! So excited to share! It's the stackable ring so I can keep adding pieces thought the years. I thought it was very versatile too. I edited the photo yellowish to hide the ickiness of my hands.

Resurfacing!

As promised I am going to attempt to resurface. I know people have their excuses, but we have had house guests and family in and out for the past month... I think that means mine is legit.

I should also mention that things aren't slowing down for me either. In fact, I don't know when my next "free" weekend will happen.

I do have lots of fun things to share though. I'm also thinking about reviewing some of my favorite products and make up soon.

As you may be able to tell, while I've been busy... My dogs have been living it up at the casa. So jealous.

It's my fault.

Hey yall.

You are probably thinking that I gave up on yall, aren't ya.... well I haven't. Hooray.

I'm just going to throw it out there and tell you, I'm a bad blogger. I would say I've been busy and give you some excuses, but I'm quite sure everyones been really busy lately, and a lot of people are still posting. So this one goes on my permanent record yall.

I will admit I've been way overwhelmed here lately. Most of the time I feel like I'm not actually interacting with people who live on my planet. Not to mention occasionally I simply shut down. When I say shut down, I mean hiding in a corner rocking.... cookoos nest.

Hopefully I will be recovering pretty soon and back to normal... or at least what we usually perceive as normal.... right?!

How Pinteresting... THURSDAY??!

I missed my most favorite day of the week yesterday!! I'm not saying I haven't been a pinning fool, but I didn't get to share it with yall. 

So I'm doing today. Yes, that was a declaration. I think I have found some really neat things lately. 

Raspberry and Key Lime Margarita?! Yes, please.

I love this option for wedding pictures, family pictures, any pictures really. 

I have a really nice, large, master bathroom... that has ZERO space.... or maybe I've used all (and I mean every least inch) of space I had... so I'm trying to find aesthetically pleasing alternatives for "space".

 Obviously from my bathroom space search... but how cute?!

 I don't think I'm cool enough to pull this look off, but I can keep wishing. 

 I am going to put one of these in the office. How stinkin' cute. No more nasty, rusty, ol cabinet!!

 I am going to find somewhere to put these up at home. Perfect for holding my ever growing collection of knick knacks, that are starting to become what some may consider "clutter" around the house! :)

Aren't you glad that I decided to share even though it's not technically Wednesday?! I'm not about to let a little thing like Wednesday stop me.

Delivering on a Promise.

I managed to take pictures on three different cameras. Therefore, my pictures are all out of order. So here goes the promise Vegas pics!!

 I had to edit this picture. Without a nice little effect on this picture, I'm scary pale. 

I am rethinking giving the Versa tan a try. I need it.

This would be upon our arrival at the Hard Rock Hotel, we stopped for some lunch at Mr. Lucky's

 Then we decided to walk the strip, we stopped into the MGM to check out the lion cubs!

 Then it was on to New York New York. Mags and I in front of the Statue of Liberty... what?!

 Then a nice stranger offered to take a picture for us. I was a little hesitant that I would hand it to him and he would run. Once I handed it to me he said... as a joke... and now I'm going to take off with your camera. I panicked for a millisecond, guilty.

This would my MY dessert plate at the Wynn buffet. I think I only ate dessert!

Maggie and Lee shared a Big Kahuna... which smoked cause it had dry ice in it. It was pretty cool, but I'm pretty sure if you touch dry ice it gives you instant frost bite or something... and it came without a warning. We are soo dangerous! 

I figured I'd say goodbye with this picture. We decided to black out one of UH's teeth at the Pink Taco, a restaurant in The Hard Rock... ya know, like the Hangover guy. We actually asked the restaurant for the permanent marker to do so... they were kind enough to give it to us!

P.S. - Permanent marker does come off your teeth... thank heavens!

Wanted: Dead or Alive

Good news... I'm alive!

I should also probably mention that we made it back from Vegas in once piece, mostly. I'm pretty sure we walked at least 30 miles though, so our feet were so sore to say the least.

I would defiantly call it a success though. I will have to upload some pictures for y'all. Of course I didn't take as many as I would have liked to, but at least I have some share with you.

This weekend was a pretty quite one, we had some sleep to catch up on after all. I think I fell asleep at 8 pm on Saturday! I'm such an old lady, eh!?

The Power of Love

Don't worry, this isn't going to be a mushy post about actual love. Rather, I thought I'd tell you what happened this past weekend!!! 

This girl went to see Huey Lewis and the News at Billy Bob's with UH and our best friends. 

If you don't know who Huey Lewis is, I'll forgive you. Chances are you know his music, even if you can't place the band. It may also help to mention that he hit his prime in the music industry in the 80's.... 

 We got some great pictures though and even a video or two!! 

The new friend me made that we asked to take our picture, decided to get a little creative. Hence, the lean.

Billy Bob's is a huge honky tonk bar in Fort Worth. So big they have several "stages", pool tables, rooms, gift shops, food. It's almost like an amusement park. 

I will confess I totally asked if they had a mechanical bull... cause I wanted to give it a try. Turns out they only have real ones to ride... uhh PASS!
